Story They Tell…

“Everything the locals say is true: if you have drunk the waters of Gostoso you will never forget the place! Rio Grande do Norte now holds a place in my heart as one of Brazil's best places.”

S. Florencio

A small state—if only on the map.

Not for nothing is its capital known as Sun City: it enjoys 300 days of warmth per year. Fortunately there is no lack of beaches and cool waters. Visitors will fall in love at first sight with Praia da Pipa’s blend of the chic and the hippy and the wonderful view of its cliffs, like at Praia do Amor. Its calm seas teeming with dolphins attract visitors from all around the world. In the evening the magic of its restaurants and bars is enhanced by live music to please every taste. To the north of Pipa, once you have rounded the “Shoulder of Brazil”, you will come across the small town of São Miguel do Gostoso, whose sands shelter Ponta do Santo Cristo, where legendary breezes favor the practice of windsurfing and kite surfing. While gaudy kite surfers throng the airs, the approachable local people fill the uncrowded beaches with their smiles and friendly chatter—an ideal recipe for making you never want to leave: which actually happens more often than you might think!
